Materials
All materials incorporated in precious-things are of the best quality
available. Some components are obviously more costly than others, and it is purely up to individual preference and budget
which you choose.
For example: silver- and gold-plated fittings are used as standard,
whereas in some cases 925 sterling silver or 9ct gold are used and so increase the cost.
Likewise the quantity and quality of beads is also a factor, such
as whether you choose glass or semi-precious stones, Swarovski crystals and faux pearls or freshwater pearls.
Semi-precious stones
A range of semi-precious stones are used in our designs, including citrine,
quartz, rose quartz, amethyst, turquoise, mother of pearl, tiger eye, jasper, agate, jade, and many more.
Freshwater pearls are also incorporated in many designs, their
iridescent colour created by a permanent chemical process. Engineered growing conditions produce
striking shapes such as blister and branch, in addition to the traditional rounds or brios.
Swarovski Crystals & Pearls
Swarovski crystal has become renowned for the unique sparkle afforded
by the quality of material and cut. Swarovski crystal contains approximately 32% lead, and is laser cut to produce
precise surfaces, in order to maximise refraction.
